We are here to support any person affected by the death of a baby. We offer one-to-one befriending, telephone support and advice as well as regular group support meetings.

We work with people in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas and all of our services are provided free of charge by local volunteers - Beds SANDS receives no funding other than by donation.

Triathlon success!

Jason Martindale completed his first triathlon at Roade school, Northamptonshire on the 30th September in memory of his daughter Seren stillborn on July 1st 2012.
Rachel and Jason are new members to Bedfordshire Sands and have raised an incredible £7000 already. Our sincerest thanks and gratitude go to them and their families, friends and supporters. A special thanks goes to the other seven members of the team pictured above who raised monies and gave their time and energy in memory of Seren. Some of the monies have been allocated to providing memory boxes to Bedford Hospital Butterfly suite and to pay for the Gifts of Remembrance photography training to train midwives in assisting bereaved parents and families to take photos that help create lasting memories. The training will take place on the 8th January for 20 midwives from Bedford hospital.
